ḍhuṅgaṇa (ढुंगण).—n (Formations from ḍhuṅga implying largeness, coarseness, unsightliness &c.) The buttocks or posterious: also a buttock. Pr. tōṇḍācyā bātā ḍhuṅgāḍa khāya lātā answering to kōṇhā- cēṃ tōṇḍa cālatēṃ kōṇhācā hāta. ḍhuṅgaṇāvara apaṭaṇēṃ (To fall violently upon one's bottom. ) To be imposed upon greatly or to incur great loss through folly or mistake. ḍhuṅgaṇāsa hāta pōhañcaṇēṃ Said of a child as he is growing big and manifesting independence and unruliness.
