Source: Wisdom Library: Maha Prajnaparamita SastraDharmanidhāna (धर्मनिधान) refers to the “treasure of the Dharma”, according to Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra (chapter 41).—Accordingly, “[Digression on a case brought against the Buddha; B. The defense].—[9. Simultaneous Teaching of Existence and Non-existence].—[...] Emptiness (śūnyatā), non-existence (anupalabdhitā) is the treasure of the Dharma (dharmanidhāna) of the Buddhas of the ten directions, noble amongst all. Thus it is said in the Prajñāpāramitā, in the Parīndanāparivarta: ‘The Prajñāpāramitā is the treasure of the Dharma of the Buddhas of the three times and the ten directions’. [...]”.
Mahayana (महायान, mahāyāna) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings).
