Source: OpenEdition books: Vividhatīrthakalpaḥ (History)Devapaṭṭaṇa (देवपट्टण) (identified with Somanāthapattana or Prabhāsa) is the name of an ancient locality, associated with Satyapura, as is mentioned in the Vividhatīrthakalpa by Jinaprabhasūri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (tīrthas).—[(17) 29.16], § 3: Bühler EI I p. 271 identifies this city with Somanāthapattana or Prabhāsa, famous Tīrtha Sivaïte of Surashtra, currently known under the name of Veraval.
