Devadroṇī-sambaddha.—(IE 8-3), same as Devadroṇy-adhikṛta; officer in charge of temple property (devadroṇī, usually taken in the sense of ‘a procession of the images of gods)’. Note: devadroṇī-sambaddha is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
