Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarydēūpāṃśērī (देऊपांशेरी).—f A five-sher-weight of dealers. It is light or under weight, being designed to weigh goods sold out. Hence exorbitant penuriousness. Applied also attrib. a niggard or stinter. This term is opposed to ghēūpāṃśērī, but, figuratively, the two terms run into agreement.
