Source: What is India: Inscriptions of the ŚilāhārasDesileya (fl. 1191 A.D.) is the name of a person mentioned in the “Kolhapur stone inscription of Bhoja II”. Accordingly, “... and to the south of the vṛtti-field and the karañja-field belonging to Desileya and Cheṇḍikeya”.
This stone inscription (mentioning Desileya) was found built into the house of Annacarya Panditrao in the enclosure of the temple of Mahālakṣmī at Kolhāpur. It records certain grants made by the king and by a private individual to certain Brāhmaṇas evidently residing at Kolhāpur. It is dated on the Uttarāyaṇa Saṅkrānti on Tuesday, the twelfth tithi of the dark fortnight of the month Puṣya (i.e. Pauṣa) in the expired Śaka year 1112, when the cyclic years was Sādhāraṇa.
