Vāramaṇḍala is another name for Dvāramaṇḍala: a locality that existed in the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—Dvāramaṇḍalaka, also called Dovārikamaṇḍala or Vāramaṇḍala or Demiṭigama, was a village and sub-district close to Mihintale. It was 9 yojanas (70 to 85 miles) from Kacchakatittha (Mahagantoṭa).
