Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarydavaḍaṇēṃ (दवडणें).—v i ( H) To run. Pr. tōṇḍāvāṭēṃ kā- ḍhāvēṃ āṇi dēśāntarāsa davaḍāvēṃ.

davaḍaṇēṃ (दवडणें).—v c ( H) To urge or impel violently; to make to gallop or run: to despatch quickly; to start off (upon some errand). 2 To let go or throw away; to squander, waste, lavish. Pr. hātacēṃ davaḍā āṇi paḷatyācē pāṭhīsa lāgā. 3 fig. To destroy or throw away (a good name &c.): also to cast off or remove (an imputation, a calamity): to put to flight--as medicine does a disease &c. It applies in almost all the figurative applications of ghālaviṇēṃ.
