Daspalla is an archaeologically important site situated in Puri District (Orissa or Odisha), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Daspalla there is a Sanskrit inscription which registers a grant of the village Koṅkaīrā in the Paścimakhaṇḍa of the Ramalava-viṣaya to Bhaṭṭa Ajapāla (or Ᾱjapāla), son of Bhaṭṭa Nīlakaṇṭha and grandson of Bhaṭṭa Madhusūdana of the Maudgalya-gotra, Vājasaneya-caraṇa and Mādhyandina-śākhā.

This inscription belongs to king Śatrubhañja Tribhuvanakalaśa of the Bhañja dynasty.
