Source: archive.org: Personal and geographical names in the Gupta inscriptionsDasor (दसोर्) or Mandasor is another name for Daśapura: a place name ending in pura mentioned in the Gupta inscriptions. The Gupta empire (r. 3rd-century CE), founded by Śrī Gupta, covered much of ancient India and embraced the Dharmic religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Daśapura has been identified with Mandasor in Western Malwa formerly in the Gwalior State. The ancient Daśapura stood on the north or left bank of the Siwana, a tributary ofthe river Śiprā.
