Ghosal of the eastern circle of Survey, brought to light the site Dabu during the course of village to village survey. The site Dabu is situated in Canning police station in South 24 Pargana on the bank of river Matla. Terracotta head and medallion probably of Sunga -Kushan period were the important discovery of the cultural assemblage of this site. (I.A.R 1984-85:99).
