大相逕庭 [dà xiāng jìng tíng] [da xiang jing ting]—
The two are completely different and far apart. See the entry "大有逕庭 [da you jing ting]" (dà yǒu jìng tíng). Qing Dynasty (清朝 [qing chao]), Li Xiao (厲鴞 [li xiao]), "Postscript to the Genealogy of Jiangxi Poetry Society" (江西詩社宗派圖錄跋 [jiang xi shi she zong pai tu lu ba]): "Later generations disregarded the cultivation of character and self-discipline, merely citing poetic verses and calling them 'sect poets' (宗派詩人 [zong pai shi ren]). Alas! How greatly this deviates from the principle of 'discussing the world and valuing friendship' (論世尚友 [lun shi shang you]) advocated by Master Lü (呂公 [lu gong])!" 庭 [ting] (tíng), its old pronunciation was tìng (ㄊㄧㄥˋ).
