大請大受 [dà qǐng dà shòu] [da qing da shou]—
Refers to generous treatment (優厚的待遇 [you hou de dai yu]). From First Collection of Tales of Striking Wonders (《初刻拍案驚奇 [chu ke pai an jing qi]》), Volume One (卷一 [juan yi]): 'Even if his literary knowledge (文學 [wen xue]) is shallow, he will still pass the imperial examinations and achieve high ranks (發科發甲 [fa ke fa jia]); even if his martial arts (武藝 [wu yi]) are ordinary, he will still receive great appointments and high positions.'
大請大受:指優厚的待遇。《初刻拍案驚奇》卷一:「隨他文學低淺,也會發科發甲;隨他武藝庸常,也會大請大受。」
dà qǐng dà shòu: zhǐ yōu hòu de dài yù. < chū kè pāi àn jīng qí> juǎn yī: “suí tā wén xué dī qiǎn, yě huì fā kē fā jiǎ; suí tā wǔ yì yōng cháng, yě huì dà qǐng dà shòu.”
da qing da shou: zhi you hou de dai yu. < chu ke pai an jing qi> juan yi: "sui ta wen xue di qian, ye hui fa ke fa jia; sui ta wu yi yong chang, ye hui da qing da shou."
