cōpaṇēṃ (चोपणें).—v c To beat (a floor) with the cōpaṇī; to beat generally in order to level and smoothen. 2 fig. To cudgel, baste, bang. cōpūna cāpūna Having leveled and smoothed, patted and beaten (a terrace or floor). 2 Having well smoothed and pressed and disposed, i. e. being well dressed and tricked out. Ex. cō0 dhōtara nēsūna pāgōṭēṃ bāndhūna cālalē rājaśrī.
