cōkhalaṇēṃ (चोखलणें).—v c (cōkha) To clear of grass and weeds (a spot of ground): to lop and prune (trees of redundant foliage): to pick (the teeth): to free from a thorn (the foot &c.): to clear, cleanse, clean (roads, vessels, clothes, the body): to pick (dirty grain). Ex. hyācyā cōkhāḷalyā- vāṭā || nalagē pusāvyā dhōpaṭā ||. 2 To ransack or search narrowly; to strip clean. 3 To anoint softly or smoothly (the crown of a child with oil).
