Ciṟpa Cennūl is a treatise on sculptures written by V. Ganapati Sthapati, in 1977. It is a text in Tamil, which explains the Sanskrit technical terms of sculptures. It consists of thirty-six chapters. The Ciṟpa Cennūl provides a detailed study of sculpture and iconography. This text has remained one of the oldest and authoritative texts in the fields of sculpture and iconography. It has been translated into English and published in the year 2002 under the title Indian Sculpture and Iconography: Forms and Measurements.
