ciṭaṇēṃ (चिटणें).—v c (ciṭa! ciṭa! Drop! drop!) To continue milking or sucking an almost exhausted udder (sometimes breast). Ex. kāya ciṭūna ciṭūna kāḍhatōsa vāsarālā ṭhēva; vāsarūṃ ciṭūna ciṭūna pitēṃ mhaṇūna gāya ciṭaṇīṃ (or ciṭaṇīsa) paḍalī. ciṭaṇīsa paḍaṇēṃ is to waste away under such exhausting sucking of the calf (or baby). Used also of the sucking animal or infant.
