Chandas (prosody, study of Sanskrit metres)

Source: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature

Chhandaḥsiddhāntabhāskara (छ्हन्दःसिद्धान्तभास्कर) is one of the works composed by Keśava Nanda (C. 1644 C.E.). Keśava starts his work after praising Piṅgala. He says: After bowing down (respectfully) to Piṅgala and consulting the views of Piṅgala, the Chandaḥsiddhāntabhāskara is composed by me, the son of Vyāsa Sūrajī. This work is an exposition of Chandaśśāstra of Piṅgala and to remove the misconception about the chandas. To justify the name of his text he says it is the siddhānta, compared to a sun (Bhāskara) to remove the darkness (dhvānta) compared with misconception (bhrānti).
