晨朝 [chen chao]—(chén zhāo) — [Miscellaneous Term (雜語 [za yu], zá yǔ)] A day is divided into three periods, the first of which is called . As the diligent practice (勤行 [qin xing], qín xíng) of the morning service is performed in each temple's main hall, the term directly refers to this practice. This is a Bahuvrīhi compound (有財釋 [you cai shi], yǒu cái shì) among the six types of grammatical explanations (六釋 [liu shi], liù shì).

晨朝—【雜語】一日分三時,第一云晨朝。而晨朝各於其本堂修晨朝之勤行,故直指其勤行曰晨朝,是六釋中之有財釋也。
