常修多羅宗 [chang xiu duo luo zong]—(Chángxiūduōluózōng)—【流派 [liu pai] (liúpài)】涅槃宗 [nie pan zong] (Nièpánzōng) 之異名 [zhi yi ming] (yìmíng) 也 [ye]。涅槃經 [nie pan jing] (Nièpánjīng) 說涅槃 [shuo nie pan] (nièpán) 常住 [chang zhu] (chángzhù) 之義 [zhi yi],故名常修多羅 [gu ming chang xiu duo luo],彼宗成於此經 [bi zong cheng yu ci jing],故稱 [gu cheng]。如云涅槃宗 [ru yun nie pan zong]。

The Constant Sūtra School (Chángxiūduōluózōng)—[School] An alternative name for the Nirvāṇa School (Nièpánzōng). The Nirvāṇa Sūtra (Nièpánjīng) expounds the doctrine of Nirvāṇa's eternal abiding (chángzhù), hence it is named "Constant Sūtra." This school was established based on this sūtra, therefore it is called the Constant Sūtra School. It is also known as the Nirvāṇa School.
