Chandodevapūjā (छन्दोदेवपूजा) is the name of a festival that once existed in ancient Kashmir (Kaśmīra) as mentioned in the Nīlamatapurāṇa.—Chandodevapūjā proceeds as follows: Women only are to worship Chandodeva on 11th and 12th of the dark-half of Caitra, with flesh of aquatic animals, various types of edibles, garlands, incense and fragrant saffron. A peculiar rite of sending Chandodeva out of the house through the door and bringing him in through the ventilator is also to be performed.
