These hold successive sway in heaven, and come to their end, as the caudā manu (the fourteen Manu) reign and pass away on earth, in the space of one day of brahmadēva. Pr. cau0 jhālē tarīṃ indrāṇī ēkaca Used where one person (as a public officer) or one institute, usage, or fashion stands fast in the midst of successions or changes.
