Catursaṅgrahavastu (चतुर्सङ्ग्रहवस्तु) or Catursaṃgrahavastu refers to the “four bases of sympathy” as defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 19):

  1. dāna (generosity),
  2. priyavacana (kindly speech),
  3. arthacaryā (usefulness),
  4. samānārthatā (similarity of purpose),

The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., catur-saṅgrahavastu). The work is attributed to Nagarjuna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.
