Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection I (history)Caturbhujadāsa (चतुर्भुजदास) is the author of the “Madhu-Mālatī-copaī” (classified as Rajasthani literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The author, Caturbhujadāsa, lived in Rajasthan. At the end of his work (see above) he states that he is a kāyastha, and gives his father’s name as nāthā (so understood by Goyal) but does not give any time-clue. He is said to have composed this romance ‘c. 1500’ (Mcgregor) or in VS 1600 (Goyal).
