To speak with hesitation; to be feeling one's way; to be beating about (in answering a question) for the anguis in herbâ. Gen. conjoined with bōlaṇēṃ, as cācapaḍata bōlaṇēṃ. cācapaḍata or cācapata The participle is used as ad with many verbs in the sense of Pokingly, gropingly, dawdlingly, dubiously.
