Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Burhikhār (near Malhār) is an archaeologically important site situated in Bilaspur district (Madhya pradesh, Bombay), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Burhikhār there is a Godh of a Vaiṣṇava image (locally called Chatur bhuji Bhagavān). It contains inscriptions in the Prakrit language using the Brāhmī script.
