不順 [bù shùn] [bu shun]—
1. To disobey, to be unsubmissive (不服 [bu fu] bùfú, 不從 [bu cong] bùcóng). From Han (漢 [han]) Dynasty. Sima Xiangru's (司馬相如 [si ma xiang ru]) "Proclamation to Ba and Shu" (喻巴蜀檄 [yu ba shu xi]): "Indeed, those who disobeyed (bùshùn) have been punished (已誅 [yi zhu] yǐ zhū), while those who did good (為善 [wei shan] wéishàn) have not yet been rewarded (未賞 [wei shang] wèishǎng)." From Yuan (元 [yuan]) Dynasty. Shi Junbao's (石君寶 [shi jun bao]) Qujiangchi (曲江池 [qu jiang chi]), Act 3 (第三折 [di san zhe]): "In her heart (心裡 [xin li] xīnlǐ), the girl (女 [nu] nǚ) detests (憎惡 [zeng e] zēng'è) the mother's (娘 [niang] niáng) closeness (親近 [qin jin] qīnjìn); the girl (女 [nu] nǚ) the mother (娘 [niang] niáng) loves (愛 [ai] ài) is disobedient (bùshùn); every (個個 [ge ge] gègè) young man (郎君 [lang jun] lángjūn) the mother (娘 [niang] niáng) loves (愛 [ai] ài) is boorish (村 [cun] cūn); but (卻 [que] què) the one the girl (女 [nu] nǚ) loves (愛 [ai] ài) has no money (無銀 [wu yin] wúyín)."
2. Not smooth or even (不平整 [bu ping zheng] bùpíngzhěng). E.g., "The collar (領子 [ling zi] lǐngzi) is wrinkled (縐縐的 [zhou zhou de] zhòuzhòude) and uneven (bùshùn)."
3. Abnormal (不正常 [bu zheng chang] bùzhèngcháng), not as desired (不如意 [bu ru yi] bùrúyì). E.g., "Breathing (呼吸 [hu xi] hūxī) is not smooth (bùshùn)." From Dream of the Red Chamber (紅樓夢 [hong lou meng]), Chapter 34 (第三四回 [di san si hui]): "When one's heart (心 [xin] xīn) is at ease (順 [shun] shùn), one speaks (說得 [shuo de] shuōde) better (還好 [hai hao] háihǎo) than a Bodhisattva (菩薩 [pu sa] púsà); when one's heart (心 [xin] xīn) is not at ease (bùshùn), one is disparaged (貶得 [bian de] biǎndé) to be worse (不如 [bu ru] bùrú) than an animal (畜牲 [chu sheng] chùsheng)."
不順:1.不服、不從。漢.司馬相如〈喻巴蜀檄〉:「夫不順者已誅,而為善者未賞。」元.石君寶《曲江池》第三折:「女心裡憎惡娘親近,娘愛的女不順,娘愛的郎君個個村,女愛的卻無銀。」
2.不平整。如:「領子縐縐的不順。」
3.不正常、不如意。如:「呼吸不順」。《紅樓夢》第三四回:「心順了,說得比菩薩還好,心不順,就貶得連畜牲不如。」
bù shùn:1. bù fú,, bù cóng. hàn. sī mǎ xiāng rú 〈yù bā shǔ xí〉: “fū bù shùn zhě yǐ zhū, ér wèi shàn zhě wèi shǎng.” yuán. shí jūn bǎo < qū jiāng chí> dì sān zhé: “nǚ xīn lǐ zēng è niáng qīn jìn, niáng ài de nǚ bù shùn, niáng ài de láng jūn gè gè cūn, nǚ ài de què wú yín.”
2. bù píng zhěng. rú: “lǐng zi zhòu zhòu de bù shùn.”
3. bù zhèng cháng,, bù rú yì. rú: “hū xī bù shùn” . < hóng lóu mèng> dì sān sì huí: “xīn shùn le, shuō dé bǐ pú sà hái hǎo, xīn bù shùn, jiù biǎn dé lián chù shēng bù rú.”
