From Strategies of the Warring States (Zhanguo Ce), "Strategies of Zhao 2" ("Zhao Ce Er"): "Indeed, to defeat others (破人 [po ren]) versus to be defeated by others (破於人 [po yu ren]), to subjugate others (臣人 [chen ren]) versus to be subjugated by others (臣於人 [chen yu ren]), how can they be spoken of on the same day (同日而言之 [tong ri er yan zhi])!" From Hu Zi (胡仔 [hu zi]) of the Song (宋 [song]) Dynasty's Qianji of Tiaoxi Yuyin Conghua (Tiaoxi Yuyin Conghua Qianji), Volume 56, "Hong Juefan" ("Hong Juefan"): "Your Uncle Chi's (公痴叔 [gong chi shu]) poems are like eating crucian carp (鯽魚 [zei yu]), one only fears getting pricked by bones; compared to Qishan (岐山 [qi shan]) pork (豬肉 [zhu rou]), they cannot be spoken of on the same day." Also written as "cannot be spoken of in the same year" (不可同年而語 [bu ke tong nian er yu]) or "not yet able to be spoken of on the same day" (未可同日而語 [wei ke tong ri er yu]).
