步步聲聲念念 [bu bu sheng sheng nian nian]—(bù bù shēng shēng niàn niàn) — [Miscellaneous term (雜語 [za yu])] This describes the state of Constant Walking Samadhi (常行三昧 [chang xing san mei]), where one walks while single-mindedly reciting Amitābha's (彌陀 [mi tuo]) name (名號 [ming hao]). Zhiguan (止觀 [zhi guan]) Volume 2 states: "Every step, every sound, every thought is solely on Amitābha Buddha." The commentary Fuxing (輔行 [fu xing]) further explains: "Every step is a bodily action (身業 [shen ye]), every sound is a verbal action (口業 [kou ye]), and every thought is a mental action (意業 [yi ye])."

步步聲聲念念—【雜語】常行三昧之狀也,步行專念彌陀而唱名號也。止觀二曰:「步步聲聲念念唯在阿彌陀佛。」同輔行曰:「步步身業,聲聲口業,念念意業。」
