Source: Wisdom Library: Vāstu-śāstraBrāhmaṇakānta (ब्राह्मणकान्त) refers to a subtype of the Samyuktastambha type of pillars (stambha). The Brāhmaṇakānta is a pillar with four pillarets at the four comers.
Vastushastra (वास्तुशास्त्र, vāstuśāstra) refers to the ancient Indian science (shastra) of architecture (vastu), dealing with topics such architecture, sculpture, town-building, fort building and various other constructions.
