bōmbhāvaṇēṃ (बोंभावणें).—v i (Imit. Used chiefly in poetry.) To hoot or screech as an owl: also to howl or yell as a jackal &c. Ex. rājamandirīṃ amaṅgaḷa divābhīta bōṃ- bhāvati ||. See Is. xxxiv. 11, 13--15. 2 To call or cry out loudly; to bawl.
