Bodhisattvacaryānirdeśa (बोधिसत्त्वचर्यानिर्देश).—The Bodhisattva-caryānirdeśa and Abhisamayālaṅkārakārikā are the important works assigned to Maitreya. These works mainly discussed the practical field of Buddhism. Maitreya or Maitreyanātha who was an eminent teacher of the Yogācāra School. He lived 900 years after the nirvāṇa of Buddha, i.e. about 400 AD.
