Source: archive.org: Vinaya Pitaka (The Book of the Discipline)Bodhighara refers to a “wisdom-house” and is mentioned in a list of places which are “not a residence” according to the Khandhaka section of the Vinaya Pitaka.—Accordingly: “[...] A monk under probation should not stay in a residence under one roofing with a regular monk, he should not stay in what is not a residence [e.g., bodhighara] under one roofing (with him), he should not stay in a residence or in what is not a residence under one roofing (with him)”.
