biṛhāḍa (बिऱ्हाड).—n A hired house or room, lodgings. 2 Residence in a lodging; alighting at and staying in for a time. Ex. hyā khōlīnta dusaṛyācēṃ bi0 āhē tyā khōlīnta tumhī bi0 karā. 3 The kit or bundle of a lodger, his baggage and traps. Ex. āmhīṃ ēthūna bi0 ucalūna tikaḍēṃ nēlēṃ. 4 A separate portion of an encampment or a traveling train of a body of dealers; any single and distinct assemblage (of goods, tents, cattle, followers) of an individual dealer; whether on the halt or road. 5 Lodging; residence or stay at in the manner of a lodger. Ex. āmhī tēthēṃ biṛhā- ḍānēṃ āhōṃ. 6 fig. Reservation: also a reserved or suppressed point. Ex. gharōbyānēṃ bōlata asatāṃ ānta bi0 ṭhēvaṇēṃ cāṅgalēṃ navhē.
