鞞沙門 [bing sha men]—Vaiśravaṇa — [Name of a Deity] A Sanskrit term. Also known as Pishāomen (毘少門 [pi shao men]). One of the Four Heavenly Kings (四天王 [si tian wang]). Its meaning is "all-pervading hearing" (徧聞 [bian wen]) or "much heard" (多聞 [duo wen]). In ancient Brahmanism (婆羅門教 [po luo men jiao]), he was considered the God of Wealth (財神 [cai shen]). This deity resides on the fourth level of Mount Sumeru (須彌 [xu mi]) and governs Yakshas (夜叉 [ye cha]) and Rakshasas (羅剎 [luo sha]).
