Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchBhūtanirmukta (भूतनिर्मुक्त) refers to “being free from the elements”, according to the Amanaska Yoga treatise dealing with meditation, absorption, yogic powers and liberation.—Accordingly, as Īśvara says to Vāmadeva: “[...] Now, I will teach knowledge for the liberation of those people who have conquered their passion. [...] The highest reality is defined as that which is free from the elements (bhūtanirmukta) such as ether; beyond the organs of perception and free of [mental] states such as worry. [...]”.
