Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationBhūtadeha (भूतदेह) refers to “one’s physical form”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.13 (“Śiva-Pārvatī dialogue”).—Accordingly, after Śiva permitted Pārvatī to stay by his side: “[...] In the course of his penance sometimes the lord of the goblins thought about her as free from attachment. But as she was in her physical form [i.e., bhūtadeha—vīkṣya bhūtadehe]. He did not take her as His wife though she was near Him, though she was endowed with every feature of beauty, though she was capable of deluding even the sages. [...]”.
