Source: Brill: Śaivism and the Tantric Traditions (tantric Buddhism)Bhūśodhana (भूशोधन) refers to the “purification of the site”, according to Kuladatta’s Kriyāsaṃgrahapañjikā, a text within Tantric Buddhism representing a construction manual for monasteries.—Accordingly, [kalaśādhivāsanā, chapter 3]—“If an Ācārya does not have a strong conviction in the Vajradhātu, there is no obstacle to his doing all the rites from purification of the site (bhūśodhana) to consecration [of images etc.] with a strong conviction in his own chosen deity”.
