Bhogala (भोगल) or Bhogalapurāṇa is the name of a work (classified as Renderings of Sanskrit classics).—The Bhogala-purāṇa (in Rajasthani/Hindi) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The manuscript of the Bhogala-purāṇa, being incomplete, has no colophon. The frame is that of a Purāṇa, with Pārvatī asking a series of questions on geography and cosmology, to which Śiva (Mahādeva) answers. This manuscript ends with standard information on the tretāyuga, including the three Viṣṇu’s avatars which are linked to it: Vāmana, Paraśurāma and Rāma.
