Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarBhidādi (भिदादि).—A class of roots headed by the root भिद् (bhid) to which the kṛt affix अ (a) (always in the fem. gender as आ) is added in the sense of verbal activity: e.g. भिदा, गुह्या, श्रद्धा, मेघा (bhidā, guhyā, śraddhā, meghā) etc. cf Kāś. on P. III. 3.104.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
