Bhāvimantra (भाविमन्त्र) refers to the “future (propitiation of) mantras”, according to Kṣemarāja’s commentary on the Svacchandatantra verse 4.142a.—Accordingly, “He should not purify the [portion of karma] which is for the future propitiation of mantras (bhāvimantra-ārādhana-rūpa) for the purpose of supernatural powers; this is the meaning”.
