Source: The University of Sydney: A study of the Twelve ReflectionsBhāranamra (भारनम्र) refers to “bent with the weight” (of the fruit of restraint), according to the 11th century Jñānārṇava, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “Good conduct is said by one who is honourable [to be like a tree] whose roots are the five great vows, whose foliage is the [mendicant] rule of life which is faultless in a high degree, bent with the weight of the fruit of restraint (guptiphala-bhāranamra) [of body, mind and speech]”.
