bharakāṇḍā (भरकांडा).—m (Imit. bhara!) Whirling; a whirl. v māra. 2 A circuit, compass, round. v māra. 3 A whirl, vortex, maze, labyrinth, in figurative applications. v sāmpaḍa or paḍa & ghāla or pāḍa with ānta. 4 Encompassing and beleaguering (as of duns or beggars). v ghāla. 5 The impetuous rush or sweep (of a current or of a blast of wind). 6 Any rapid and rude or smart performance or doing; e.g. rapid or smart driving of the plough, pen, broom, brush; prompt or brisk reading off, saying off, speaking; lively flourishing in writing. v māra, ōḍha, ghē.
