Bhakṣyavṛddhi (भक्ष्यवृद्धि) refers to an “increases of food” which is specified as (one of) the consequence of a doorway (dvāraphala) at Gṛhakṣata (one of the peripheral padas of the 9 by 9 deity map), according to the Devyāmata (chapter 105).—Accordingly, [while describing the consequences of a doorway]—“[...] The fourth one, named Māhendra, fulfills every desire for the householder. The fourth one in the house facing south, Gṛhakṣata, increases food, drink and sons for householders (bhakṣyavṛddhibhakṣyapānasutavṛddhiṃ karoti gṛhamedhinām).
