Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationBhakṣyabhojī (भक्ष्यभोजी) refers to “those (sinners) eating (forbidden) foodstuffs”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.5.25 (“Prayer by the gods”).—Accordingly, as the Gods said to Śiva: “[...] O lord Śiva, even wicked sinners eating forbidden foodstuffs (bhakṣyabhojī) and indulging in sexual dalliance with all sorts of women, have been liberated by their service to you. O Śiva, Śambara a devotee of yours, smearing himself with the ashes of the funeral pyre, attained your region along with his wife, thanks to his regular adherence to Bhasma. [...]”.
