Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarybhakṣasthānīṃ (भक्षस्थानीं).—ad (In the place of food.)--used with ghālaṇēṃ, ṭākaṇēṃ, sōḍaṇēṃ, utaraṇēṃ To cast or let down into the place of food; to treat as food (money or goods deposited in trust); i.e. to embezzle, gulp, swallow:--used with paḍaṇēṃ or utaraṇēṃ To fall into &c.; to be embezzled or gulped. 2 Used lightly or familiarly in the literal sense,--To devour or eat; or to be devoured or eaten.
