本性住種性 [ben xing zhu zhong xing]—Innately abiding gotra — [Term] One of the two types of Mahayana (大乘 [da cheng]) gotra (二種性 [er zhong xing]). It refers to the Mahayana undefiled (無漏 [wu lou]), primordially existing (法爾 [fa er]) seeds (種子 [zhong zi]) that have been inherently possessed by the fundamental consciousness (本識 [ben shi]) from beginningless time (無始已來 [wu shi yi lai]).

本性住種性—【術語】大乘二種性之一。謂無始已來本識所具有之大乘無漏法爾種子也。
