Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection I (history)Beṃgarāja (बेंगराज) or “Beṃgarāja Kuṃvara” refers to one of the sons of Samoṣaṇa (belonging to the Māthurā Kāyasthas), according to the “Samoṣaṇa Kāitha Māthura-rāsa” (dealing with caste history), and is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The work deals, in the beginning and in the final part, with the life and character of Samoṣaṇa Maṃtrī Kāyasatha, also called Samoṣaṇa Ṭhakura, a wealthy and powerful man who belonged to the Māthurā Kāyasthas (210v).
