Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarybēcāḷīsa (बेचाळीस).—m pl A collective term for one's forty-two immediate ancestors (twenty-one on the father's side and twenty-one on the mother's side). Ex. tū bē0 smaruna bōla; tyānēṃ tyācē bē0 uddharilē-narakānta ghātalē-buḍavilē &c. It seems confined in use to occasions of adjuration or abusing.
