baṭaviṇēṃ (बटविणें).—v c To change coins of one value into coins of the same name but of higher or lower value, paying or receiving the exchange.

To represent or exhibit with gesticulation and action. 2 To narrate or tell with embellishing additions; to recite (a legend of a god or a hero) with the amplifications and artistic flourishes of free oratory. Gen. used in the ūna form and in conjunction with sāṅgaṇēṃ or dākhaviṇēṃ; as batāvūna sāṅgaṇēṃ-dākhaviṇēṃ.
